Preliminary results are in for Sterling’s Annual Town Election, which took place on Monday, May 11. Voter turnout was 15.76 percent, with 897 voters turning out to cast their ballots for open seats on a variety of town boards and committees.

In the selectmen’s race, Maureen Cranson beat out Michael Padula. Cranson is also the Chair of the Senior Center Building Committee.

Incumbent Gary Menin has been re-elected to the Board of Health, beating opponent Sue Valentine by 12 votes.

In uncontested seats, Gregg Aubin was re-elected to the DPW Board, Alicia Emsley and Edward Tatten were elected to the Board of Library Trustees, Matthew Stelmach was re-elected to the Sterling Municipal Light Department Board, Karen LeClerc was re-elected to the Sterling Housing Authority, Susan Hitchcock was elected to the Wachusett Regional School District Committee, and Amrith Kumar was elected as Town Moderator.
